Tuğrul Körüklü

He was born in 1966 in Tarsus. He graduated from the Department of Biology at the Faculty of Science, Ankara University, with a degree in Biology, and completed his master's studies in the same department. Since 1999, he has been working as the responsible lecturer at the Herbarium of the Department of Biology, Faculty of Science, Ankara University (ANK).

He has been conducting the conservation and monitoring of priority plant species in Ankara province within the framework of a protocol between Ankara University and the General Directorate of Nature Conservation and National Parks of the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry.

He has served as a botanical expert in numerous national and international projects. He is both a contributor and a commission member of the Illustrated Flora of Turkey project. His academic work focuses on herbaria, plant systematics, Turkish vegetation, and ethnobotany. He has authored publications at both national and international levels. Since 2020, he has been serving as the Chair of the Board of the Flora Research Association
