Ogün Demir
Ogün Demir is a biologist and software developer specialized in plant taxonomy, systematics, ecology, and ecological modeling. He works as a software developer at the Nezahat Gökyiğit Botanical Garden. Currently pursuing his PhD at Tekirdağ Namık Kemal University, his research focuses on modeling the geographic distributions of endemic and rare Verbascum species in Türkiye using the MaxEnt algorithm. Ogün combines his scientific background with advanced expertise in data science and web development, actively contributing to biodiversity and nature conservation projects in Türkiye. He has served as a data scientist and developer in major initiatives such as the Turkey e-Flora and Turkey Herbarium Network, and he is an active member of the IUCN SSC Turkey Plant Red List Authority.
