Oğuz Karayemiş completed his undergraduate studies in Philosophy at Ege University and earned his PhD from the same department in 2023, with a dissertation focusing on economy and ecology. His research centers on political philosophy and ontology, with a particular emphasis on Marxism and new metaphysics. He also works in the fields of semiotic theory, the continental philosophical tradition, and science-technology-society studies.

He has delivered and continues to deliver seminars in various venues, including Moda Sahnesi (Istanbul) and imalat-hane (Bursa). In addition to his academic work, he writes on art and participates in collaborative projects with various artists. His essays and articles have been published in both digital and print platforms, including journals and edited volumes.

As a translator in the field of philosophy, he has translated Object-Oriented Ontology (Tellekt, 2020) and Art and Objects (Ayrıntı, 2022) by Graham Harman, Essays in Radical Empiricism by William James (Heretik, 2022), and Nietzsche by Richard Schacht (Say, 2024). Forthcoming translations include Being Posthuman by Zahi Zalloua (Akademim Kitaplığı) and Reason and Revolution by Herbert Marcuse (Ayrıntı Yayınları).

His forthcoming book, Economy and Ecology I: Capital's Ventures and the Earth’s Resistance, will be published by Akademim Kitaplığı. He writes the column States of Matter in Art Unlimited magazine and teaches in the Department of Painting at Marmara University’s Faculty of Fine Arts.
